September 11, 2007: BMW Birthday Dinner at Home

On September 11, Brittany got to choose ANYTHING for dinner. So...of course...you guessed it...she picked MAC AND CHEESE. So mom went to the store and bought elbow macaroni, lots of nice cheese...and spent 45 minutes in the kitchen making a delicious white cheese sauce she poured over the macaroni prior to cooking it in the oven for half an hour. And...of course...Brittany wasn't impressed and would have preferred KRAFT.

Brittany's Last Five Year Old Kiss

Tonight when I tucked Brittany into bed, I asked her to give me one last five year old kiss that i can keep as a memory forever. She put her hands on both sides of my face and looked at me with her little eyes glassy and said,

"Mommy, remember this forever: I - WILL - ALWAYS - BE - YOUR - LITTLE - GIRL."

I will remember it forever...even when she is telling me, "Mommy, I'm not a little girl anymore!" Especially when she is telling me that...

BMW: Soccer Picture Day

You'll see that quite a few of these pictures are uncharacteristically blurry....the photographer was having a fit about me taking pictures. He said I would have to "set them up myself" if I wanted to take the shots. Okay...so the lame-o soccer pics of other people's children on a public soccer team in a public park...I'm not going there. Thank you Photography by Robin. :) Of COURSE, once I get the pictures, I'll post them here.

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!

Aiyana - an eighth grader at Chehalis Middle School.

Brittany - a first grader at Cascade Elementary.

They were absolutely amazing, beautiful, courageous...did I mention amazing??...as they walked into thier new schools today.

And...across the hall is where Miss Madysen Kambich goes to KINDERGARTEN and can you believe it? Brittany and Madysen wore the same black jacket on the first day of school - great moms think alike!

DAISIES bridge to BROWNIES

The older girls have volunteered to lead a younger girl scout troop for a leadership project to help them earn thier SILVER AWARD. The DAISY troop bridged up to BROWNIES today! Congratulations to MADDISON, BRITTANY, BILLIE and SHAYNA!
