The Sisterhood Room (Formerly known as the spare bedroom)

The sisterhood room is almost done. It is yellow and white and black! It's VERY cool. We're just looking for a black and white checkered border to put up. The ART will be black and white photography telling the stories of women's quotes. The project is still in the works, but we chose some quotes and took our first stab at the pictures tonight!

Aren't they great?? Let us know which ones you like best - we'll have to narrow them down some!

I am voting for the following two quotes:

"Don't compromise yourself. You are all you've got." - Janis Joplin

"The reward for conformity is everyone likes you but yourself." -Rita Mae Brown.

These quotes speak to placing great value on yourself. In order for others to respect you, you need to respect yourself. It took me half a lifetime to learn this truth. Always know the value of you!!! Have fun with the new room.

I loved the photos. Everyone looked especially beautiful! I loved the pic of Ayiana looking in the mirror. My favorite quote was the Coco Chanel one!

Thanks Chandra for caring so much about girls and their self esteems!
